An office building in Forty Fort owned by Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services has landed its first tenant.
IMA Group, headquartered in Tarrytown, New York, with its main operations center in Albany, New York, has leased 3,259 square feet of space from Mericle at 150 Welles Street in the borough.
IMA Group provides medical, psychological and speech and language evaluations, and focuses on Social Security Disability, employability, independent medical evaluations, and occupational health services. The company’s clients include local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private insurers and corporations.
Kathy Simons, IMA’s Operations Manager with responsibility for the new office, stated, “We are thrilled to be opening our office in Forty Fort and look forward to working with the local community. The location is ideal, providing easy accessibility to our clients.”
IMA Group has grown from a single office in White Plains, New York in 1990, to its present status, with more than 30 medical offices in New York, Connecticut, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. IMA Group’s President and CEO, Dr. David Pulver, is a board certified internist with more than 30 years of experience performing consultative evaluations for Social Security Disability.
The company expects to create eight to ten jobs in Forty Fort.
Mericle Vice President Dan Walsh coordinated the IMA Group lease transaction. Dan Naylor, a salesperson with Mericle’s brokerage division, represented IMA Group.
“Our design and construction team did a great job customizing IMA’s space and completing renovations in 30 days,” said Walsh.
“We are in the process of opening several new offices in the Northeast U.S. and Mericle’s quality and professionalism is as good as it gets,” said IMA Group’s Pennsylvania Project Manager James Coseo. “They’ve been able to give us exactly what we need with a very fast turnaround.”
